The Doctors

Lakeshore Clinic has a multidisciplanary approach to health care. We offer the services of: Chiropractors, Naturopathic Doctors and Registered Massage Therapists.


Chiropractors:


Dr. Heather Norman

Dr. Norman is the Founder and Clinical Director of the Lakeshore Clinic. Since 1991 Dr. Norman has focused on delivering comprehensive natural health care alternatives to address each patient's individual needs with the goal of restoring the body to maximum function. Dr. Norman holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Trent University, a Doctor of Chiropractic degree from Palmer College of Chiropractic, completed a fellowship in Pediatrics from the International Chiropractic Pediatric Association, is Certified in Acupuncture and is a Registered Trigenics Practioner.


Dr. Mahfam Amini

Dr. Amini graduated from Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College with a Doctor of Chiropractic degree and holds a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology and Health Sciences from York University. In addition, she is also trained to perform Acupuncture and is certified through the acupuncture Council of Ontario. Dr. Amini is a frequent lecturer on Ergonomics and well-being.


Dr. Kathryn Wheatley

Dr. Wheatley holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Biological Sciences from the University of Maryland-Baltimore County, a Doctor of Chiropractic degree from The Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College and is Certified in Acupuncture. She has a special interest in treating sports related injuries with chiropractic and acupuncture. Dr. Wheatley has lectured extensively on stress management and personal wellness.

Naturopath:

Dr. Rachel Schmidt

Dr. Rachel Schmidt is a graduate of The Canadian College of Naturopathic Medicine in Toronto and earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in Anthropology from The University of Western Ontario. Her primary focus as a healthcare practitioner is to address the root cause of illness and to prevent disease using natural therapies such as botanical medicine, acupuncture and homeopathy. Her practise is based on individualized care and a lifestyle-management approach to sustainable wellness.

To augment her homeopathic knowledge, Rachel has travelled to India to study the Bombay method of homeopathy. She also has a special interest in women's health, Traditional Chinese Medicine and nutrition and exercise and has taken additional courses in personal training. Rachel has also had experience treating HIV-positive patients during her clinical rotation at the Sherbourne Health Centre in Toronto.
